Refund Policy

Terms of Service Privacy Policy Cookie Policy

On this page

This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for paid InviteTools subscription plans. It supplements our Terms of Service. By purchasing a paid plan, you agree to this policy.

Important: Paid subscriptions are sold by Paddle.com Market Ltd (“Paddle”), our merchant of record and authorized reseller. Your payment contract is with Paddle. Refund and withdrawal rights for the transaction itself are primarily governed by Paddle’s refund policy and Paddle’s checkout buyer terms. If anything on this page conflicts with Paddle’s policies, Paddle’s terms govern the payment transaction.

1. Who does what

  • InviteTools provides the software and activates your plan after payment is confirmed.
  • Paddle processes payment, collects applicable tax, issues receipts, handles renewals, and processes eligible refunds to your original payment method.

Charges may appear on your statement under Paddle or the descriptor shown at checkout. InviteTools does not store your full card number on our servers.

2. What you are purchasing

Paid plans provide access to InviteTools features (such as higher guest limits, premium templates, analytics, and related tools) for the billing period you select (monthly or yearly). Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.

The Free plan does not require payment and is not covered by this Refund Policy.

3. General rule: no partial refunds

Except where required by applicable law or approved under Paddle’s refund policy, subscription fees are non-refundable and we do not provide prorated refunds for unused time. This includes when you:

  • Cancel before the end of a billing period (you keep access until the period ends, but the remaining time is not refunded)
  • Downgrade at renewal (the lower plan takes effect on the next billing date)
  • Stop using the Service during an active period
  • Delete your account while a paid period is still active

4. When a refund may be available

Depending on your location and the circumstances, you may be entitled to a refund or withdrawal under:

  • Statutory rights — mandatory consumer withdrawal or refund rights in your country
  • Paddle’s refund policy — including Paddle’s discretionary review of requests submitted within 14 days of the transaction date
  • Service failure — if you paid but your paid plan was not activated within a reasonable time and we cannot resolve the issue after you contact us
  • Billing errors — duplicate charges or incorrect amounts

Each request is reviewed on its merits. Approval is not guaranteed except where required by law.

5. How to request a refund

5.1 Payment refunds (via Paddle)

For refund or withdrawal requests related to a charge, contact Paddle using one of these methods:

  • The “View receipt” or “Manage subscription” link in your Paddle confirmation email
  • paddle.net (select the refund or billing support option)

Have ready: the email used at checkout, the transaction date, the amount charged, and your Paddle receipt or transaction reference if available.

If Paddle approves a refund, it is typically returned to your original payment method within 14 days of approval. Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the credit.

5.2 Service activation issues (via InviteTools)

If your payment succeeded but your paid plan was not activated, email hello@invitetools.com within 14 days of the charge with:

  • Your InviteTools account email
  • The date and amount charged
  • Your invoice number or Paddle transaction/subscription reference (shown under Account → Billing & invoices)
  • A brief description of the issue

We will investigate promptly. If we cannot activate your plan, we will work with Paddle to arrange an appropriate refund where eligible.

6. Cancellations vs. refunds

Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals. It does not automatically refund the current billing period.

  • Cancel anytime from Account → Subscription in InviteTools
  • Or use the subscription management link in your Paddle receipt email
  • After cancellation, you keep paid-plan access until the end of the period you already paid for
  • When that period ends, your account moves to the Free plan unless you subscribe again

7. European Economic Area, UK, and similar regions

If you are a consumer in the EEA, UK, or another region with mandatory withdrawal rights, you may have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital services that begin immediately, that right may be lost if you expressly agree to immediate access and acknowledge that performance has started before the withdrawal period ends, as explained in Paddle’s buyer terms and refund policy.

Submit withdrawal or refund requests through Paddle using the methods in section 5.1, or contact us if you need help identifying your transaction.

8. Tax refunds

If you are a business customer charged sales tax or VAT and believe you are exempt, you may need to request a tax refund from Paddle. Provide any required tax registration or exemption documentation. See Paddle’s buyer terms for eligibility and time limits (typically within 60 days of the transaction).

9. Chargebacks and disputes

If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer, Paddle may provide transaction records as merchant of record. We encourage you to contact Paddle or us first so we can resolve billing issues quickly. Filing a chargeback while continuing to use paid features may result in suspension of your account.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with an updated date. Changes apply to future purchases and, where required by law, to existing subscriptions.

11. Contact

  • Refund or payment disputes: paddle.net or the link in your Paddle receipt
  • Plan activation or Service issues: hello@invitetools.com
