Terms of Service

Privacy Policy Cookie Policy Refund Policy

On this page

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the InviteTools website, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by InviteTools (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Paid subscriptions are sold by our payment partner, Paddle, as described in section 4. Those purchases are also subject to Paddle’s checkout buyer terms.

1. The Service

InviteTools is an online platform that helps hosts create and publish digital event invitations, collect RSVPs, manage guest lists, and related event information. Features vary by plan and may change over time. We may add, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account or purchase a paid plan. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have authority to enter into these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your account credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@invitetools.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

You may sign in using email and password or, where available, third-party authentication providers (such as Google, Facebook, or Apple). Your use of those providers is also subject to their terms and policies.

4. Subscriptions, plans, and payments

InviteTools offers free and paid plans. Plan limits and features (such as published events, guests per invitation, templates, and analytics) are described on our pricing page and in your account. We may change plan features or prices for new purchases or renewals with reasonable notice where required by law.

4.1 Merchant of record

InviteTools provides the software. Paddle.com Market Ltd (“Paddle”) acts as our merchant of record and authorized reseller for paid subscriptions. When you purchase a paid plan, your payment contract is with Paddle. Paddle collects payment, calculates and remits applicable sales tax or VAT where required, and provides receipts for your transaction.

We grant you access to the Service according to your plan once Paddle confirms payment. We receive subscription status, plan information, and transaction references needed to activate and manage your account. We do not store your full payment card number on InviteTools servers.

4.2 Checkout and billing

Paid plans are available on a recurring monthly or yearly basis, as shown at checkout. Checkout is completed on Paddle’s secure payment page. Your purchase is subject to Paddle’s checkout buyer terms and privacy policy in addition to these Terms.

A summary of your billing history is available in your InviteTools account under Account → Billing & invoices. Official receipts and tax documentation for your purchase are provided by Paddle.

4.3 Auto-renewal

Unless you cancel before renewal, your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period. By subscribing, you authorize Paddle to charge your payment method for each renewal at the then-current price for your selected plan and billing interval.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel renewal at any time from Account → Subscription. Cancellation stops future charges at the end of your current billing period. Unless required by law, you will not receive a refund for the current billing period. You keep paid-plan access until the period you already paid for ends, after which your account returns to the Free plan unless you subscribe again.

You may also manage or cancel a subscription through links in your Paddle receipt or confirmation email, where available.

4.5 Refunds

Refund and withdrawal rights for paid subscriptions are described in our Refund Policy and in Paddle’s refund policy. If there is any conflict regarding a payment or refund, Paddle’s buyer terms and refund policy govern the transaction.

4.6 Failed payments and price changes

If a renewal charge fails, Paddle may retry payment according to its processes. We may suspend paid features until payment succeeds. You are responsible for keeping your payment method valid. If we change subscription prices, the new price applies to subsequent billing periods in accordance with applicable law and any notice we provide.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation:

  • Violating any applicable law or regulation
  • Harassing, threatening, defaming, or discriminating against others
  • Sending spam, unsolicited messages, or fraudulent invitations
  • Uploading malware, attempting unauthorized access, or interfering with the Service
  • Infringing intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person
  • Collecting personal information from guests without a lawful basis and appropriate notice
  • Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your affiliation
  • Using the Service for illegal events or content that promotes harm

We may investigate violations and remove content, restrict features, or terminate accounts at our discretion.

6. Your content and guest information

Your content. You retain ownership of invitations, images, text, and other materials you submit (“User Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute User Content solely as needed to operate and improve the Service (for example, to publish your invitation page or generate a print preview).

Guest data. When guests RSVP or interact with your invitations, you may collect their names, email addresses, responses, and other information you configure. You are responsible for your event and for complying with applicable privacy, data-protection, and electronic communications laws when collecting and using guest information. You must provide guests with any required notices and obtain any required consents. Our Privacy Policy explains how InviteTools processes information on your behalf as a service provider.

Visibility settings. You control whether invitations are public, password-protected, or limited to your guest list. Anyone with access to a link or password may view invitation content you publish.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including our software, branding, templates, and documentation (excluding User Content), is owned by InviteTools or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal or internal business event purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or resell the Service except as expressly permitted.

8. Third-party services

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services (such as Paddle for payments, authentication providers, email delivery, fonts, analytics, or image hosting). We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms and privacy policies, including:

  • Paddle checkout buyer terms
  • Paddle privacy policy
  • Paddle refund policy

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT INVITATIONS WILL BE DELIVERED TO ALL RECIPIENTS.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INVITETOOLS AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE (OTHER THAN PAYMENT OBLIGATIONS HANDLED BY PADDLE AS MERCHANT OF RECORD) WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless InviteTools and its affiliates from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your events, your collection or use of guest information, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and InviteTools regarding use of the Service. Paid purchases are additionally governed by Paddle’s buyer terms.
  • Severability. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • No waiver. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
  • Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply.

15. Contact
