Our Written Story
W ith peaceful hearts and the blessing of our families, we invite you to join us as we unite our paths in marriage. Celebrate with us amidst the serene moss gardens and cedar tea pavilion of Nanzen-ji, with a traditional tea ceremony ritual, matcha confectionery, lantern-lit banquet, and chamber koto music under the evening moon.
Tea Ceremony Rituals & Garden Keepsakes
Select each folding screen panel to explore the sacred chapters of our wedding day.
Guests are welcomed along the moss-lined stone garden path with ceremonial tea and seasonal wagashi confections.
In a single bowl of green tea, one discovers the boundless tranquility of the cosmos.
The couple exchange three sips each from three graduated lacquer cups, consecrating a harmonious bond across generations.
Three sips for heaven, three sips for earth, and three sips for eternal human devotion.
A serene twilight promenade through the dry landscape rock garden, accompanied by gentle koto melodies.
Stepping stones over ripples of raked white sand, walking hand in hand into eternity.
A seasonal kaiseki feast, concluding with the release of glowing washi lanterns across the mirrored pond.
May the glow of these floating washi lanterns light our path through every season.
